What a Success!

Kid’s Play NOLA’s first fundraiser was such a success. We had an awesome and supportive turn out and raised $1500! I am so super excited! This has brought me even closer to my goal to raise $10,000 before I leave NYC for seed money to start Kid’s Play. I still have over halfway to go and I am going to continue to push forward.
So many people showed up to support Kid’s Play, the total number being around 75-100 people. Even patrons at the bar that didn’t even know about the benefit pitched in. The night started with tunes from DJ Patrick Phalen and then to the live jams of the Vieux Carre Orchestra. Thanks to both, we were rocking and dancing all night long! The music was spectacular with creative and fun new lyrics by Michael Sansonia. The rest of the band kept the party going. Thanks for volunteering to play the benefit: Stanley Banks, Towner Gallagher, and Mike Barry.
Jamie Neuman did a fantastic job as the evenings emcee and kept the crowd laughing and smiling. Abita beer and home-cooked Cajun food was enjoyed by all and don’t forget the mardi gras cupcakes.
It feels so good to know that so many people are behind me and the children of New Orleans. Programs like this exitst because of people like you.
THANK YOU!
